Secramore is the fantastical world created by Cleveland, Ohio authors Matthew + Stefanie Verish. The couple began writing stories together as a means of keeping in touch while Stefanie was attending college. After marriage, the two published their first duology, Raven’s Heart: An Unlikely Journey and An Unlikely Reunion . Matthew + Stefanie continue to write tales from their World of Secramore , and are currently working on The Black Earth Trilogy .
Matthew + Stefanie hope to make their novels unique primarily through strong character development. The plots are character-oriented, and because the characters have many layers and conflicts, the themes often reflect this. More than anything, they hope that a reader will be able to identify with one or more of the characters and journey through the novel with him or her.
As of yet, the authors’ future books will cover a time spanning seventy-one years, in which returning characters interact with each other and their world, overcome obstacles, and attempt to solve the problems that persist in their lives. The writers hope for believable characters who will carry a theme the reader can take with him or her after the novel is read.
